Position Summary
The Housekeeping Runner of the resort respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments as well as support the Room Attendants by “running” housekeeping supplies on request. Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms. They assist with the cleaning of all public areas and recycling of all hotel & villa recyclable items. Deliver guest requests and set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested. Remove items from hallways, including debris, room service food and beverage trays, unread newspapers, soiled linens, and trash. Clean, maintain, and stock the cubbies with linens.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:
- Lead by example in all areas
- Cleaning of public areas
- On direction, washes doors, walls & windows on a regular basis
- Maintains the cleanliness of Villa BBQ’s, garages, sidewalks & driveways.
- Cleans & stocks storage areas, organizes incoming supplies
- Follow all company and safety/security policies and procedures
- Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs (internal & external)
- Support the team to reach common goals
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
- Communicate to Manager and Supervisor on any concerns or issues
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Manager/Supervisors.

- Must be a self-starter and able to work unsupervised
- Must possess a very keen eye for detail
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Knowledge of WHIMS and chemical use
- Exceptional time management skills
- Must be in good physical health, heavy lifting is required, moving machinery
- Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
