Position Summary:
The Eldorado Yacht Club is a premium waterfront division of the Eldorado Resort, delivering an elevated marina and recreational boating experience to members and guests. Under the leadership of the Director of Operations - Yacht Club, and reporting to the Assistant Director of Operations, the Yacht Club Supervisor is responsible for leading daily field operations and ensuring safe, efficient, and professional execution across dockside, fueling, rental, and retail activities. For dock and lift services, the Yacht Club Supervisor works in close coordination with the Dock Masters to ensure safe vessel handling, proper lift operation, infrastructure monitoring, and strict adherence to technical and safety procedures. 

Working in a dynamic marine environment, the Supervisor maintains high operational standards, strict safety compliance, and an elevated guest experience aligned with Yacht Club values. This role includes active oversight of vessel handling, fuel dock procedures, rental fleet readiness, staff coordination, and continuous hazard prevention in accordance with Yacht Club Standard Operating Procedures and WorkSafe BC requirements. The Supervisor plays a key role in team leadership, operational discipline, and performance accountability.

Job Duties:
You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard: 

  • Lead by example, demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Maintain a positive, friendly working environment where employees feel comfortable and safe.
  • Conflict Management – deliver a high level of guest service and professional judgment for any challenges that may arise at the Marina.
  • Maintain a professional appearance ensuring consistent uniform and grooming policies are always adhered to.
  • Sales/administration – a clear understanding of till operations, cash-out procedures, pump readings/fuel discrepancies, merchandise & inventory.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all Eldorado Yacht Club vendors & Members.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skills to complete all activities on time.
  • Safety/Emergency Preparedness – The safety of all guests and staff is our #1 priority. Ensure proper safety equipment stored on watercraft and monitor staff safety procedures at the Eldorado Yacht Club, and at the fuel dock during watercraft rundowns.
  • Cleanliness/Organization – maintain a high standard of watercraft cleanliness with a “hands-on approach”. Ability to maintain general organization at Eldorado Yacht Club (example: garbage/recycling, storage, shack, equipment, and vests).
  • Enforce all policies, procedures, and ordinances dealing with the operation and maintenance of the Marina.
  • Monitor fuel dock operation to ensure services to patrons.
  • Maintain service buildings and Eldorado Yacht Club grounds.
  • Communication with Director of Operations – Yacht Club regarding guest and staff challenges, major watercraft damages, accidents, gas/maintenance concerns, and promotional initiatives.
  • Watercraft maintenance/repairs – follow up and collection for rental damage, consistent use of maintenance log, and servicing for all watercrafts.
  • Supervise safe and efficient docking of boats.
  • Rental reservations – consistent completion of rental agreements, watercraft check-in/out forms, and safety rundowns and ensure all staff are following proper rental procedures.
  • Staff training/scheduling – consistent coaching of boat & gas staff, adjusting shifts based on weather, use of logbook for staff and guest concerns, planning ahead for next-day rentals/staffing.
  • Perform dockside operations including vessel mooring assistance, boat handling, launching, and recovery support.
  • Apply strict fuel dock safety procedures and environmental protection protocols.
  • Monitor docks, lifts, and marina infrastructure to prevent hazards and property damage.
  • Respond to emergencies and support incident management in accordance with established procedures.
  • Use marine radios and communication systems professionally and effectively.
  • Maintain operational discipline and readiness throughout the shift.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following: 

  • Comfortable working in an active marine environment with moving docks, vessels, and fuel systems
  • Strong safety mindset with the ability to identify and proactively mitigate risks
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive during emergencies or high-pressure situations
  • Professional presentation and behavior consistent with a Yacht Club environment
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic and “whatever it takes” attitude
  • Experience in marina operations, including moorage, fuel, retail & soft goods
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office applications and the ability to master new technologies
  • Hours include weekends, holidays, and evenings, up to 40 hours per week
  • S.V.O.P designation preferred
  • Sales and marketing background is an asset
  • Mechanically efficient
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
  • Valid Boat License operator’s card
  • Knowledge of the safe operation of watercraft and all other rental equipment
